One of our classmates called Tomas, who loves and feels devotion for horses, practises the horse training. Therefore and taking advantage of his great hobby, Sport have decided to ask him for doing an interview to his trainer called Soraya, coach al Monín’s Horse Center, in order to know more about this sport.

– Vallecit@s: How old were you when you started riding horses?

– Soraya: I was 11 years old.

– Vallecit@s: Have you always wanted to be a coach (since you were little)?

– Soraya: I have always wanted to devote my live to horses.

– Would you go to other parts of the world to become a coach?

– Soraya: If it would be necessary, I would (of course).

– Vallecit@s: Would you like your children, nephews or nieces… to follow your steps (becoming coaches)?

– Soraya: If they love it, of course I would; but if they don’t love it, then I won’t.

– Vallecit@s: What do you love the most in your job?

– Soraya: I love meeting nice people.

– Vallecit@s: And what do you love the least?

– Soraya: The existence of people who don’t want to get any advice.

– Vallecit@s: What’s the name of your mare? Why did you name her that way?

– Soraya: Her name is Sara Baras. I was given the mare with that name and, since I love Sara Baras (because she is one of the best “flamenco” dancers of all ages), I left her with that name.

– Vallecit@s: Would you change your mare by a better horse?

– Soraya: Yes, but if I could have both the horse and my mare I would also be happy.

– Vallecit@s: Which are the inconveniences of your job?

– Soraya: (The main inconveniences are) that you catch a lot of colds in Winter and that you have to work on holidays.

– Vallecit@s: What’s necessary to become a good coach?

– Studying, being tactful with people, having knowledge and loving what you do.

Thank you very much Soraya!!
